ये वृक्षों में उगे परिन्दे पंखुड़ि-पंखुड़ि पंख लिये अग जग में अपनी सुगन्धित का दूर-पास विस्तार किये।
झाँक रहे हैं नभ में किसको फिर अनगिनती पाँखों से जो न झाँक पाया संसृति-पथ कोटि-कोटि निज आँखों से।
श्याम धरा, हरि पीली डाली हरी मूठ कस डाली कली-कली बेचैन हो गई झाँक उठी क्या लाली!
आकर्षण को छोड़ उठे ये नभ के हरे प्रवासी सूर्य-किरण सहलाने दौड़ी हवा हो गई दासी।
बाँध दिये ये मुकुट कली मिस कहा-धन्य हो यात्री! धन्य डाल नत गात्री। पर होनी सुनती थी चुप-चुप विधि -विधान का लेखा! उसका ही था फूल हरी थी, उसी भूमि की रेखा।
धूल-धूल हो गया फूल गिर गये इरादे भू पर युद्ध समाप्त, प्रकृति के ये गिर आये प्यादे भू पर।
हो कल्याण गगन पर- मन पर हो, मधुवाही गन्ध हरी-हरी ऊँचे उठने की बढ़ती रहे सुगन्ध!
पर ज़मीन पर पैर रहेंगे प्राप्ति रहेगी भू पर ऊपर होगी कीर्ति-कलापिनि मूर्त्ति रहेगी भू पर।।
