King Shantanu Meets Ganga and Young Devavrata
This poignant visual masterpiece captures a profound moment from the Mahabharata, where mortal longing meets divine grace on the sacred banks of the Ganges. King Shantanu stands captivated by the ethereal river goddess Ganga, who presents to him their miraculous eighth son, Devavrata, destined to become the legendary Bhishma. The scene is imbued with an exquisite theatricality, balancing the regal dignity of the monarch with the sublime, otherworldly presence of the mother and child. Every fold of silk and gleam of golden armor speaks to a reverence for epic heritage, translating timeless devotion and sacrifice into vibrant hues that continue to stir the soul.
