कुछ रिश्ता है ज़रूर मेरा इन बुज़ुर्ग पेड़ों से! देख कर ही हरिया जाती हैं आँखें, उमग उठता है मन, वैसे ही जैसे मायके की देहरी देख, कंठ तक उमड़ आता हो कुछ! बाँहें फैलाये ये पुराने पेड़ पत्तियाँ हिलाते हैं हवा में, इँगित करते हैं अँगुलियों से - आओ न, कहाँ जा रही हो इस धूप में थोड़ी देर कर लो विश्राम हमारी छाया में!
मेरी गति-विधियों से परिचित हैं ये, मुझमें जो उठती हैं उन भावनाओं का समझते हैं ये! नासापुट ग्रहण करते हैं हवाओं में घुली गंध अपनत्व की! एक नेह-लास बढ़ कर छा लेता है मुझे, बहुत पुराना रिश्ता है मेरा! इन बुज़ुर्ग पेड़ों से!
