धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ
दिये से मिटेगा न मन का अंधेरा धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ!
बहुत बार आई-गई यह दिवाली मगर तम जहां था वहीं पर खड़ा है, बहुत बार लौ जल-बुझी पर अभी तक कफन रात का हर चमन पर पड़ा है, न फिर सूर्य रूठे, न फिर स्वप्न टूटे उषा को जगाओ, निशा को सुलाओ! दिये से मिटेगा न मन का अंधेरा धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ!
सृजन शान्ति के वास्ते है जरूरी कि हर द्वार पर रोशनी गीत गाये तभी मुक्ति का यज्ञ यह पूर्ण होगा, कि जब प्यार तलावार से जीत जाये, घृणा बढ रही है, अमा चढ़ रही है मनुज को जिलाओ, दनुज को मिटाओ! दिये से मिटेगा न मन का अंधेरा धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ!
बड़े वेगमय पंख हैं रोशनी के न वह बंद रहती किसी के भवन में, किया क़ैद जिसने उसे शक्ति छल से स्वयं उड़ गया वह धुंआ बन पवन में, न मेरा-तुम्हारा सभी का प्रहर यह इसे भी बुलाओ, उसे भी बुलाओ! दिये से मिटेगा न मन का अंधेरा धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ!
मगर चाहते तुम कि सारा उजाला रहे दास बनकर सदा को तुम्हारा, नहीं जानते फूस के गेह में पर बुलाता सुबह किस तरह से अंगारा, न फिर अग्नि कोई रचे रास इससे सभी रो रहे आँसुओं को हंसाओ! दिये से मिटेगा न मन का अंधेरा धरा को उठाओ, गगन को झुकाओ!
