तुम भीतर जो साधे हो और समेटे हों कविता नहीं बनेगी वह
क्योंकि कविता तो बाहर है तुम्हारे अपने भीतर को
बाहर से जोड़ोगे नहीं बाहर जिस-जिस तरफ़ जहाँ -जहाँ
जा रहा है अपने भीतर को उस-उस तरफ़ वहाँ -वहां
मोड़ोगे नहीं और पहचान नहीं होने दोगे
अब तक के इन दो-दो अनजानों की तो तुम्हारी कविता की
तुम्हारे गीत-गानों की गूँज-भर फैलेगी कभी और कहीं नहीं खिलेंगे अर्थ बहार के उन बंजरों में जहाँ खिले बिना
कुछ नहीं होता गुलाब कुछ नहीं होता हिना कुछ नहीं
जाता है ठीक गिना ऐसे में उससे जिसका नाम काल है
बड़ा हिसाबी है काल वह तभी लिखेगा अपनी बही के किसी
कोने में तुम्हें जब तूम भीतर और बाहर को
कर लोगे परस्पर एक ऐसे जैसे जादू-टोने में
खाली मुट्ठी से झरता है ज़र झऱ झऱ झऱ
