Karna Lifting the Chariot Wheel

Paired Painting

Karna Lifting the Chariot Wheel

The artwork portrays Karna, the tragic hero of the Mahabharata and the first son of Kunti and Surya, caught in the devastating moment of the Kurukshetra war when his chariot wheel sinks into the earth. Abandoned by fortune and bound by a curse, Karna pauses to extract the heavy wheel, offering a vulnerable yet defiant target to his archrival Arjuna. This painting captures the immense physical strength and the deeper emotional turmoil of a noble warrior standing resolute against the relentless tide of fate.
