ऐसो पूत देवकी जायो। चारों भुजा चार आयुध धरि, कंस निकंदन आयो ॥१॥ भरि भादों अधरात अष्टमी, देवकी कंत जगायो। देख्यो मुख वसुदेव कुंवर को, फूल्यो अंग न समायो॥२॥ अब ले जाहु बेगि याहि गोकुलबहोत भाँति समझायो। हृदय लगाय चूमि मुख हरि को पलना में पोढायो॥३॥ तब वसुदेव लियो कर पलना अपने सीस चढायो। तारे खुले पहरुवा सोये जाग्यो कोऊ न जगायो॥४॥ आगे सिंह सेस ता पाछे नीर नासिका आयों। हूँक देत बलि मारग दीनो, नन्द भवन में आयो॥५॥ नन्द यसोदा सुनो बिनती सुत जिनि करो परायो। जसुमति कह्यो जाउ घर अपने कन्या ले घर आयो॥६॥ प्रात भयो भगिनी के मंदिर प्रोहित कंस पठायो। कन्या भई कूखि देवकी के सखियन सब्द सुनायो॥७॥ कन्या नाम सुनो जब राजा, पापी मन पछतायो। करो उपाय कंस मन कोप्यो राज बहोत सिरायो॥८॥ कन्या मगाय लई राजा ने धोबी पटकन आयो। भुजा उखारि ले गई उर ते राजा मन बिलखायो॥९॥ वेदहु कह्यो स्मृति हू भाख्यो सो डर मन में आयो। ’सूर’ के प्रभु गोकुल प्रगटे भयो भक्तन मन भायो॥१०॥
