Born in 1955 in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, and later settling in the United Arab Emirates, she single handedly pioneered the movement of Hindi literature onto the internet. In the year 2000, long before digital publishing became the norm, she founded the foundational literary web magazines Abhivyakti and Anubhuti. Through these platforms, she connected a globally scattered diaspora of Hindi readers and provided an accessible stage for both established legends and emerging voices. Beyond her monumental editorial work, she is a deeply sensitive poet in her own right. Her collections like Vakt Ke Sath explore the nuances of the diasporic experience, nostalgia, and changing human relationships. She holds a unique and indispensable place in modern letters. She did not just write literature she built the digital sanctuary where contemporary Hindi literature continues to thrive.
