गूँजते हैं अवनि अंबर, शंख-ध्वनि की गूँज भर भर, खुल रहीं पलकें प्रलय की, छिड़ रहे विध्वंस के स्वर! सृष्टि क्रम के बाद खुलता जा रहा है नेत्र हर का, और भंग समाधियों ने ध्यान लूटा विश्व भर का १
बाँध दे घुँघरू पगों में शक्ति, होगा रुद्र नर्तन, नैन मे अंगार ज्वाला, आज फिर होगा प्रदर्शन! छूट कर ताँडव करेगा, पुनः हर क3 ध्यान निश्चल! काँप जायेगा विधाता और तीनो लोक चंचल!
झनझनायेंगी तरंगें, सिन्धु खुल कर साँस लेगा एक लय के ताल-स्वर पर महालय का साज होगा! उठी अंतर्ज्वाल, लहरें ले रहा विक्षुब्ध सागर!! सनसनाता है प्रभंजन, नीर गाता राग हर हर!
लुढ़कते आते तिमिर घन, बिजलियाँ ताली बजातीं, घुँघरुओँ मे स्वर मिला कर बूँद झऱ-झर छनछनाती! मंच क्षिति, अपना सजा ले आज हर नर्तन करेंगे! खुल पडेंगी वे जटायें, सर्प तन से छुट गिरेंगे!
पुष्प-शऱ-संधान क्या चिन्गारियों की उस झड़ी में, मुक्त कुन्तल घिर अँधेरा कर चलेंगे जिस घड़ी में! नाद-डमरू फैल जाये डम डमाडम्, डमडमाडम्! बिखर जायेगा चतुरिदिशि मे चिता का भस्म-लेपन!
कौंधता तिरशूल झोंके ले रही नरमुण्ड माला, रुद्र गति आक्रान्त सारी सृष्टि की यह रंगशाला! दिग्-दिगंतों मे भरेगा प्रलय का भीषण गहन स्वर, गूँजते हैं अवनि अंबर, शंख-ध्वनि की गूँज भर भर!
