सूरज डूब गया बल्ली भर- सागर के अथाह जल में। एक बाँस भर उठ आया है- चांद, ताड के जंगल में। अगणित उंगली खोल, ताड के पत्र, चांदनी में डोले, ऐसा लगा, ताड का जंगल सोया रजत-छत्र खोले कौन कहे, मन कहाँ-कहाँ हो आया, आज एक पल में। बनता मन का मुकुर इंदु, जो मौन गगन में ही रहता, बनता मन का मुकुर सिंधु, जो गरज-गरज कर कुछ कहता, शशि बनकर मन चढा गगन पर, रवि बन छिपा सिंधु तल में। परिक्रमा कर रहा किसी की, मन बन चांद और सूरज, सिंधु किसी का हृदय-दोल है, देह किसी की है भू-रज मन को खेल खिलाता कोई, निशि दिन के छाया-छल में।
