संझवाती के दीपक की लौ के लहराते सायों में जब धुंधले धुंधले आकारों के कुछ चिन्ह नज़र आ जाते हैं यादों के मानसरोवर की लहरों से उड़कर राजहंस उस घड़ी शाम के ढलते ही अंगनाई में आ जाते हैं
बीते कल के चित्रों में कुछ बदलाव न कर पाती कूची आंखों में आ लहराती है फिर एक अधूरी वह सूची जिसमें चिह्नित पल जब हमने आशा के बिरवे बोए थे जिनके अंकुर, बरसों बीते, प्रस्फ़ुटित नहीं हो पाते हैं
यादों के मानसरोवर की लहरों से उड़ कर राजहंस उस घड़ी शाम के ढलते ही अंगनाई में आ जाते हैं
नज़रों की खोज भटकती है मावस की सूनी रातों में सुधियों के पत्र बिखरते हैं, सांसों के झंझावातों में पाटल पर बनते सपनों के रंग गडमड हो कर रह जाते जब मन की सोई झीलों में कुछ कंकर फेंके जाते हैं
यादों के मानसरोवर की लहरों से उड़कर राजहंस उस घड़ी शाम के ढलते ही अंगनाई में आ जाते हैं
अजनबियत जब बंध जाती है, परिचय के कोमल धागों से जैसे सरगम का जु़ड़ता है नाता आवारा रागों से उस परिचय के पथ में कोई जब ऐसा मोड़ मिला करता जब शब्द अधर को छूने से पहले ही फिसले जाते हैं
यादों के मानसरोवर की लहरों से उड़कर राजहंस उस घड़ी शाम के ढलते ही अंगनाई में आ जाते हैं
इतिहासों के घटनाक्रम जब, सहसा ही हो जाते जीवित विस्तारित अंबर की सीमा, मुट्ठी में हो जाती सीमित चेहरे पर आंसू की रेखा बन कर पगडंडी रह जाती धूमिल से चिह्न धुएं से जब कुछ और अधिक हो जाते हैं
यादों के मानसरोवर की लहरों से उड़कर राजहंस उस घड़ी सांझ के ढलते ही अंगनाई में आ जाते हैं
