शब्द से मुझको छुओ फिर, देह के ये स्पर्श दाहक हैं। एक झूठी जिंदगी के बोल हैं, उद्धोष हैं चल के, ये असह, ये बहुत ही अस्थिर, -बहुत हलके- महज बहुरूपिया हैं जो रहा अवशेष- उस विश्वास के भी क्रूर गाहक हैं। इन्हें इनका रूप असली दो- सत्य से मुझको छुओ फिर। पूर दो गंगाजली की धार से, प्राण की इस शुष्क वृंदा को- पिपासित आलबाल: मंजरी की गंध से नव अर्थ हों अभिषिक्त- अर्थ से मुझको छुओ फिर। सतह के ये स्पर्श उस तल तक नहीं जाते, जहां मैं चाहता हूँ तुम छुओ मुझको।
