जिस दिन से संज्ञा आई छा गई उदासी मन में, ऊषा के दृग खुलते ही हो गई सांझ जीवन में।
मुँह उतर गया है दिन का तरुओं में बेहोशी है, चाहे जितना रंग लाए फिर भी प्रदोष दोषी है।
रवि के श्रीहीन दृगों में जब लगी उदासी घिरने, संध्या ने तम केशों में गूंथी चुन कर कुछ किरनें।
जलदों के जल से मिल कर फिर फैल गए रंग सारे, व्याकुल है प्रकृति चितेरी पट कितनी बार सँवारे।
किरनों के डोरे टूटे तम में समीर भटका है, जाने कैसे अंबर में यह जलद पटल अटका है।
रश्मियाँ जलद से उलझीं तिमिराभ हुई अरुणाई, पावस की साँझ रंगीली गीली-गीली अलसाई।
