अपने हमराह जो आते हो इधर से पहले| दश्त पड़ता है मियां इश्क़ में घर से पहले|
चल दिये उठके सू-ए-शहर-ए-वफ़ा कू-ए-हबीब, पूछ लेना था किसी ख़ाक बसर से पहले|
इश्क़ पहले भी किया हिज्र का ग़म भी देखा, इतने तड़पे हैं न घबराये न तरसे पहले|
जी बहलता ही नहीं अब कोई सअत कोई पल, रात ढलती ही नहीं चार पहर से पहले|
हम किसी दर पे न ठिठके न कहीं दस्तक दी, सैकड़ों दर थे मेरी जां तेरे दर से पहले|
चाँद से आँख मिली जी का उजाला जागा, हमको सौ बार हुई सुबह सहर से पहले|
