Krishna Embracing Radha
In this tender and deeply moving creation, the master painter Raja Ravi Varma captures the timeless romance between Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha. Set against the serene backdrop of nature, the artwork portrays the divine lovers in a quiet moment of absolute devotion and gentle surrender. Radha leans back in blissful abandon, her expressive eyes filled with adoration, while Krishna tenderly embraces her with unmatched grace. Through his pioneering use of lithographic prints, Ravi Varma successfully brought these sacred narratives into the homes of ordinary devotees, forever transforming the landscape of Indian visual culture and spirituality.
