सत्ता अंधी है लाठी के सहारे चलती है। सत्ता बहरी है सिर्फ धमाके सुनती है। सत्ता गूंगी है सिर्फ माइक पर हाथ नचाती है। कागज छूती नहीं आगे सरकाती है। सत्ता के पैर भारी हैं कुर्सी पर बैठे रहने की बीमारी है। पकड़कर बिठा दो मारुति में चढ़ जाती है। वैसे लंगड़ी है बैसाखियों के बल चलती है। सत्ता अकड़ू है माला पहनती नहीं, पकड़ू है। कोई काम करती नहीं अपने हाथ से, चल रही है चमचों के साथ से।
सत्ता जरूरी है कुछ के लिए शौक है कुछ के लिए मजबूरी है। सत्ता सती नहीं, रखैल है कभी इसकी गैल है तो कभी उसकी गैल है।
सत्ता को सलाम करो पानी मिल जाए तो पीकर आराम करो। सत्ता को कीर्तन पसंद है नाचो और गाओ ! सिंहासन पर जमी रहो मरकर ही जाओ।
और जनता? हाथ जोड़े, समर्थन में हाथ उठाए, आश्वासन लेना हो तो ले, नहीं भाड़ में जाए!
सत्ता शाश्वत है, सत्य है, जनता जड़ है, निर्जीव है- ताली और खाली पेट बजाना उसका परम कर्तव्य है।
