Draupadi and Krishna at Kurukshetra

Paired Painting

Draupadi and Krishna at Kurukshetra

This profound canvas portrays the devastating aftermath of the epic Mahabharata war on the blood soaked fields of Kurukshetra. Amidst the swirling smoke and fallen warriors, Lord Krishna stands with a sublime and melancholic grace, holding a sword while embodying the detached witness of cosmic duty. Nearby, a grieving and wounded Draupadi is supported by companions, her anguish a poignant reminder of the heavy human cost of vengeance and righteousness. The artist captures both the divine stillness of the Lord and the profound sorrow of the queen, creating a timeless meditation on duty, grief, and the eternal wheel of karma.
