इस तरह छाया क्षितिज पर था अन्धेरा शाम का ही रूप धर बैठा सवेरा इसलिए अब हम हृदय-दीपक जलाने आ गए हैं आज हम उजियार का उत्सव मनाने आ गए हैं ।
एक दीपक बन स्वयं हम स्नेह जीवन में भरेंगे और जिनके मन अन्धेरों से घिरे हैं आज अन्तर-ज्योति से उनके भरेंगे
पर किरण का बिम्ब दीखे हर दिशा में हम उसे दर्पण दिखाने आ गए हैं ।
रह न जाए अब कहीं भी रात काली इसलिए यह ज्योति अन्तस् में जला ली चिह्न भी मिलने न पाए अब तिमिर का इस तरह से हम मनाएँगे दिवाली
न्याय-समता-प्रेम के दीपक जलेंगे हम विषमता को मिटाने आ गए हैं ।
