Anjana Bhatt

1953 · 1990s

Anjana Bhatt is a compelling voice in contemporary Hindi poetry who writes with profound emotional vulnerability. Born in 1957 in New Delhi, her work primarily navigates the intricate architecture of human relationships, domestic life, and the quiet sacrifices inherent in motherhood. She does not rely on complex literary structures. Instead, she brings the raw realities of everyday existence to the forefront of her verses. Poems like Bolo Maa and Dulhan Ka Singaar resonate deeply with readers because they articulate the unspoken fears and longings of the ordinary woman. She has cultivated a dedicated following through prominent literary platforms and literary journals, ensuring that the female experience is documented with empathy and clarity. Bhatt stands as a poet of genuine resilience, offering comfort and recognition to those who often feel overlooked by mainstream literary narratives.
