यूँ चम्पई रंगत प सिंदूरी निखार है इंसानी पैरहन[1] में गुले-हरसिंगार है।
धानी से दुपट्टे में बसंती सी हलचलें मौज़े-ख़िरामे-हुस्न[2] कि फ़स्ले-बहार[3] है।
गुजरा है कारवाने-क़ायनात[4] इधर से ये कहकशाँ[5] की धुन्ध भी मिस्ले-गुबार[6] है।
पापोश के बगैर वो गुजरा है इधर से रस्ते के धूलकन में अभी तक ख़ुमार है।
जिस पर भी पड़ गयी है निगहे-नाज़े-सरसरी[7] इंसाँ नियाजे-हुस्न[8] का उम्मीदवार है।
आतिश जले कहीं भी पहुँचते हैं फ़ित्रतन[9] दीवावगी का अहद[10] भी परवानावार[11] है।
क्यूँ हुस्न प लगती रही पाक़ीज़गी[12] की शर्त पूछा कभी कि इश्क़ भी परहेजगार[13] है।
इतने क़रीब से भी न गुजरे कोई ’अमित’ गो आग बुझ भी जाय प रहता शरार[14] है।
