इल्तिजा उसकी मुहब्बत में सनी होती है साफ इन्कार में ख़ातिर शिकनी होती है

यूँ कमानी की तरह भौंह तनी होती है नज़र पड़ते ही कहीं आगजनी होती है

अपना ही अक्स नज़र आती है अक्सर मुझको वो हर इक चीज जो मिट्टी की बनी होती है

सौदा-ए-इश्क़ का दस्तूर यही है शायद माल लुट जाये है तब आमदनी होती है

मैं पयाले को कई बार लबों तक लाया क्या करूँ जाम की क़िस्मत से ठनी होती है

इतने अरमानो की गठरी लिये फिरते हो ’अमित’ उम्र इंसान की आख़िर कितनी होती है
