अपनी - अपनी सलीब ढोता है आदमी कब किसी का होता है

है ख़ुदाई-निजाम दुनियाँ का काटता है वही जो बोता है

जाने वाले सुकून से होंगे क्यों नयन व्यर्थ में भिगोता है

खेल दिलचस्प औ तिलिस्मी है कोई हँसता है कोई रोता है

सब यहीं छोड़ के जाने वाला झूठ पाता है झूठ खोता है

मैं भी तूफाँ का हौसला देखूँ वो डुबो ले अगर डुबोता है

हुआ जबसे मुरीदे-यार ’अमित’ रात जगता है दिन में सोता है
