सखी! बादल थे नभ में छाये बदला था रंग समय का थी प्रकृति भरी करूणा में कर उपचय मेघ निश्चय का।।
वे विविध रूप धारण कर नभ–तल में घूम रहे थे गिरि के ऊँचे शिखरों को गौरव से चूम रहे थे।।
वे कभी स्वयं नग सम बन थे अद्भुत दृश्य दिखाते कर कभी दुंदभी–वादन चपला को रहे नचाते।।
वे पहन कभी नीलाम्बर थे बड़े मुग्ध कर बनते मुक्तावलि बलित अघट में अनुपम बितान थे तनते।।
बहुश: –खन्डों में बँटकर चलते फिरते दिखलाते वे कभी नभ पयोनिधि के थे विपुल पोत बन पाते।।
वे रंग बिरंगे रवि की किरणों से थे बन जाते वे कभी प्रकृति को विलसित नीली साड़ियां पिन्हाते।।
वे पवन तुरंगम पर चढ़ थे दूनी–दौड़ लगाते वे कभी धूप छाया के थे छविमय–दृश्य दिखाते।।
घन कभी घेर दिन मणि को थे इतनी घनता पाते जो द्युति–विहीन कर¸ दिन को थे अमा–समान बनाते।।
